Planning consents in Cotswolds AONB and Green Belt
Planning consents have been gained for mixed use development on two sites in Box, Wiltshire. Both sites are located within the Cotswolds AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the Bristol/Bath Green Belt. The proposals were informed by landscape and visual assessments and required high quality designs which responded to the sensitive landscape context.
Initially we prepared AVR level 1 verified views for outline planning, followed by fully rendered AVR 3 versions for the detailed application. For the detailed application, all the viewpoints, including the adjacent residential properties, were fully survey verified. This is an important design tool in establishing height parameters, especially in relation to views from adjacent residential properties, and assisted in public consultations.
To ensure the design was accurately represented in the final visuals, we worked closely with the architects, Stonewood Design to ensure the scheme integrated seamless into this challenging rural site.
