Concept Visuals

Concept Visuals designed for impact

Our Concept Visuals bring your design ideas to life with character and innovative creativity.

At NPA Visuals, our CGI services transform early design concepts into striking images, helping your clients, stakeholders, and planners gain a clearer understanding of how projects could be in the real world.

Our meticulously crafted 3D renders highlight key elements of your design, enabling discussion around the selection of materials and textures to the nuances of lighting and planting. CGI is a vital link between vision, design, and execution, enhancing design progression throughout the design process.

What are Concept Visuals?

Concept Visuals are created visual content prepared using advanced software. Our visualisers expertly use this technology, constantly evolving our techniques to produce models, images, and animations that accurately simulate designed environments.

CGI allows designers to visualise projects in early conception stages. When employed with robust methodologies, it delivers objective renderings of proposed designs for testing options.

Concept Visuals: Virtual and Augmented Reality

With VR and AR, we can create immersive experiences, allowing viewers to “walk through” or view 360 degrees of a project long before it’s built. These technologies enhance the understanding of space, scale, and design elements in a highly interactive way.

Concept Visuals: Animations and Walkthroughs

Using dynamic visuals that bring your projects to life, you can allow viewers to experience spaces as if they were truly there. Whether it’s architectural designs, interior layouts, or product concepts, our animations and walkthroughs offer an engaging way to tell your story.

Who needs Concept Visuals?

CGI visuals are crafted for a wide range of professionals and stakeholders, addressing the unique needs of diverse audiences.

CGI for architects serves as a powerful tool to showcase designs, visualise projects early, guide revisions and design development, and support informed decision-making. Beyond merely highlighting architectural ideas and features, CGI also illustrates the potential impact of the project design within its environment, offering a comprehensive view of how the design integrates with the surroundings.

Bringing landscape designs out of the plan form and into a digital 3d form has many benefits. CGI gives landscape architects the opportunity to evaluate the design at various stages and for multiple perspectives to ensure that the shape and composition of the designs serve their intended purpose effectively.

Property developers benefit from CGI for property marketing, using concept images or photorealistic renderings to attract the attention of buyers and potential investors. CGI can enhance brochures, websites, and advertising campaigns, presenting properties in an attractive light.

Planning Consultants need to communicate the essence of planning applications to Planning Officers and Planning Committees quickly and clearly. Planning authorities often rely on images of design proposals to help decide if the approve or refuse a planning application. This is particularly important in the case of sensitive or heritage contexts or for potentially contentious schemes.

CGIs can be used to demonstrate the qualities of interior design. By creating realistic renderings of materials, layouts, and finishes, clients can have a realistic preview of completed spaces.

Detailed CGI renderings are essential tools for designers and architects who need to effectively convey complex ideas and design changes in sensitive spaces. Whether during the design phase, consent process, or marketing efforts, these visuals provide clarity and make a powerful impact.

Our method

We take a rigorous, methodical, and detailed approach to creating CGI imagery for designers and marketers.

Combining high-quality photography, detailed 3D-modelling, and expert post-production, our final CGI images are developed to meet the unique requirements of each project. Whether you’re looking for Concept Visuals in Bristol, London, Manchester, Birmingham, or across the rest of the UK, our experienced team has refined a method of working that consistently delivers outstanding results for our clients.

In the example shown, the viewpoint had been discussed with the client as one option to show the proposed new landscape. Lighting conditions were considered for the view and tested prior to the site visit in the 3D model. Multiple photos are stitched together to create a starting point.

Background elements in the existing photo that are no longer going to appear in the proposed design are carefully removed using reference photography and various painting techniques.

Further edits are carried out to remove anything in the foreground that won’t be in the future view. The view is now starting to look cleaner and ready to integrate the proposed model.

Now that the usable part of the image is more complete and ready to use, the existing lighting is adjusted to lift certain parts of the image while toning down other parts.

Seasonal variation is discussed and tested to discover what may work best and what might be possible for the design in each view. The model is aligned and integrated with the view using the correct lighting and camera settings

The colours in the render are adjusted to remove or enhance anything that appears out of place. In this instance, toning down the render colours to match the background photo created a balanced image from which to adapt into the final image story.

The image undergoes final adjustments to complete the original idea – to use the simple local colour palette of the warm tones of the of the stone and the autumnal colours of the planting in a low sunlight. Light, colour and texture is finely adjusted throughout to complement and balance the view and draw the viewer in to the new space.
